But here are photos from setting up the drip system.
I am a HUGE fan of drip systems for patio pots or planters. I was thrilled to find this DIG system on sale at Home Depot for $29.99.
We hooked the drip line to the water spout used for a garden hose, and ran the main line behind Mom's roses and then dug under the grass to bury the line, which was much easier than I anticipated.
We then ran the main line around the border of the garden, under the brick path, so we could customize the drip lines to each planting area as needed.
The gardening Supervisor, Chance, was on the look out for any plant-eatting insects, as long as he had a cool piece of dirt as his vantage point.
Each plant's water needs will be a work in progress, to gauge the optimal water amounts, but the main advantage is that the drip system together with a battery run timer keeps the plants automatically watered daily.
My handsome day laborer added his irrigation expertise and did the heavy lifting, customizing each drip line to each plant or seed trough!
Now I can plant more seeds directly in the dirt and watch them grow.
